Bauhausbücher 2. Paul Klee's textbook for the Bauhaus school. Structured like lecture notes more than anything else, with as much respect for antecedents (i.e. essentially none). The arrogance of his programme in the face of the intertext reminds me of technical manuals and documentation. It is exactly as if someone asked him "how and why do you do whatever it is you do?" and he went "I'm glad you asked!" and made art out of it.
