Recipe generator: Rasam

Mouthing off to chiko about how easy it would be to write a recipe generator that took a list of ingredients you wanted to cook with and spat out a list of recipes you could use to combine them. I have been admonished to write it down. But it owuld be so easy! I protest, to no avail; the roguish grin of my roommate is tolerant but unforgiving.

But it would be. I'm thinking of the app I used during covid called Plant Jammer, which did exactly this, before it devolved into an enshittified underfunded AI-generated nightmare, and it appears, died and disappeared. All you need are a few tables – INGREDIENT_ATTRIBUTES, INGREDIENTS, INGREDIENT_{RELATIONSHIPS}, RECIPES. Tie these together with a little business logic, some light LTL reasoning, and slap a pretty UI on the FILTER query to call it a faceted search; and voila you can cook with the ingreidents of your fridge! I'm firmly convinced I should be able to prototype this in a spreadsheet.
