Downstream of the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis, we might note that it sure was a convenient way to tag how much easier a good language makes thinking thoughts that that language seems designed for. An application or two of modus tollens allows us to derive that a language can absolutely be said to have more or less utility for one purpose or another, and where language and purpose seemed to fit together very nicely we can and should search for reasons why.
