write you a prospective: record the process of deciding on a product
Like the idea of an autobiographical review, this schema (is it a schema? I need nomenclature here) generalizes past any given medium of consumption. I also find two symmetries:
- between "product" (the outcome of a process, the idea of "action" rendered distant) and "working" (the result of sustained action)
- between "producer" and "consumer".
<diagram goes here>
There's a balance point between "product" and "working" that makes them into powerful synonyms, the kind that are metaphors for each other, that seems well high.
"Consuming" art is an act of dialogue; the winning strategies all exhibit symmetry with the process of art-making. Make you a transformative work!
You see this when you reflect "producer/consumer" into "working"-space – you just get "worker" and "user", which is essentially "worker" and "worker" with little power differential sprinkles.
