claudish isn't beige
Making up a guy to get mad at.
I've seen one too many post about AI voice being bland, a cosplay of intelligence, etc. but it isn't? Claudish is readable and easy to understand because it's constrained to be. But come on: we know enough data science to know that past three conditionals, you're not building "transparent representations of things that exist" anymore. We see the consequences of this all the time, and have been contending with them since 2023. Clear example: "hallucinations". We know that if you process too far you begin to risk "seeing things that aren't there". So why are the "hallucinations" coherent? Let's take an appropriately psychedelic view of this fact, and note that you could also call this phenomenon "visualizing".
By the same coin: Claude has a voice. It talks more and faster and more cheaply than anybody else can, and therefore we see it everywhere. That voice is particular, and is not an imitation of anything more than anybosy else's voice is.
