Comfort with a small life, and thorough consideration of systems around you, sounds like something that jives with me. Full but adaptable resource utilization, built around a realistic assessment of my capacities and interests, seems like the missing link between Scott Alexander's/Ozy's understanding of comparative-advantage morality and a ground-level reflectively consistent model for a good life.

The impression I sometimes get from stories of startup founders is that they jump so quickly to imagining and building a service or product instead of developing deep understanding of needs, people, systems, opportunities… I know that doing things is a great way to learn things – fail fast and fail often – but I’m also curious about developing my understanding by other ways.
